The Tonal Analysis Macro for the Rion NX-22FT FFT option provides a very quick and easy way of objectively evaluating whether a noise contains tonal components which are likely to be audible by applying the procedure set out in ISO 1996-2 Annex C. The setup page includes the instructions on how to carry out the measurements in the right way to apply the technique.
The user simply imports the data from the NA-28's memory card or USB port and then follows the onscreen instructions. Once processed, two sheets are produced by the workbook. The Report Sheet shows the results of the assessment and the Check Sheet allows the user to view further details and assess the validity of the test.
