The Rion VM-54 with the VX-54WS Marine Vibration option offers a unique, user-friendly means of evaluating vibration levels in crew and passenger accommodation on board vessels in accordance with the International Standard ISO 6954: 2000. The ease of use enables marine engineers, naval architects, marine consultants and acoustic/vibration consultants to easily obtain sensible vibration data confidently. It's a self-contained, 3 channel, compact, lightweight and practical vibration meter - you don't have to worry about carrying multiple boxes and leads attached to laptops. The meter stores the vibration levels to a compact flash card in a sensibly formatted comma separated variable text file which pulls straight into a spreadsheet program (via a card reader on your PC) for easy manipulation and data presentation.
- Complies with IS0 6954: 2000
- Wm frequency weighting (band limited unweighted vibration levels can also be measured)
- Measures rms;
- Maximum Transient Vibration Value (maximum rms);
- Minimum rms
- Data stored as csv files to compact flash
- Up to 16 hours battery life with 4 alkaline C cells
- Can be used with external batteries for long-term vibration monitoring
- Measurement times:
- manual start/stop
- 10 seconds;
- 1, 2 and, 10 minutes
- Manual storage for 50 000 datasets onto card
- Frequency Range with PV-83CW 0.5-80Hz
- Measurement Ranges (full scale) with PV-83CW 30, 100, 300, 1000, and 3000 ms-2 and 1, 3, 10, 30, 100 and 300 ms-1
- Can also be used with single channel Rion PV-57 for greater sensitivity (by a factor of 10) and a wider frequency range (1 - 1000 Hz)
