The GRAS 48LX-1 is a 1mm thick, ¼” CCLD condenser ultra-thin precision microphone for measuring sound at the boundary layer.
With a height of 1mm the GRAS 48LX-1 enables new possibilities for boundary layer acoustic measurements. The microphones are click-mounted within circular 1mm high, 29mm radius mounting disk with 6.5 or 7.5 degree slopes, minimising the disturbance to the airflow and soundfield.
The GRAS 48LX-1 is both innovative and practical. The mounting fairing can be left in place and the microphone removed enabling precise measurement positions to be retained between measurement runs. The GRAS 48LX-1 is connected via an integral 3m microdot cable and TEDS pre-amplifier. Field calibration can be performed with a standard acoustic calibrator using the GRAS RA4800 adapter which is available as an accessory.
