When BS 4142: 2014 was published it stated “Where appropriate, use instruments for measuring meteorological parameters during long‑term unattended measurements by means of a logging meteorological station at the measurement location”. Many practitioners have found this requirement very difficult to fulfil. Although there was plenty of hobbyist equipment on the market, and professional quality weather stations, there really was nothing that was an integrated, professional logging weather station.
ANV have been working on this since 2014. The Lufft WS600, incorporated into ANV’s multi-parameter LivEnviro System, proved to be accurate and reliable but, until now, none of our self-standing, logging weather stations have quite hit the spot.
Technology has moved on and ANV believe the new AL1 Live-to-Web weather station is the solution the market has been waiting for. ANV have tried many other weather stations, some much lower cost (and some not), and concluded the Lufft WS600 really can’t be beaten in terms of accuracy, reliability and power consumption. ANV have, however, incorporated a new IOT processor/transmitter in the system.
The ANV AL1 Live-to-Web Weather Station is an integrated, battery-powered system which transmits live weather data to a website for up to 60 days on a single charge and there is no subscription to pay. With built in GPS and an electronic compass, it’s really quick and simple to deploy.
