The rugged Norsonic Nor278 Reference Sound Source for sound power measurements is equally suited to laboratory measurements and field measurements.

With a 50 Hz mains operating frequency the Nor278 produces 94 dB(A) SWL re 1 pW overall sound power and 75 dB SWL re 1pW in each third octave band 100 – 10,000 Hz.

The Nor278 achieves BS EN ISO 6926 requirements for extended frequency range reference sound source (50 Hz – 10 kHz) with 50 Hz mains frequency.

It can be used for the substitution and juxtaposition methods for sound power (BS EN ISO 3747) and/or the comparison method for sound power (BS EN ISO 3741, 3743-1, 3744 & 3747).
